I just noticed the 'attach a file' button at the bottom of the posting windows on my gold forum. Has that only just turned up, or have I simply been oblivious to it? very cool. Thanks Activeboard!
There's nothing on the control panel about it.
Couple of questions:
1. Will there be an option to switch it on or off - perhaps only have it available to admin/moderators or members who have posted more then x number of times?
2. Any chance of changing the size limits?
3. How about restricting the file types - eg no executable files?
4. What are the cost implications for gold users - at the moment we're charged per hit - presumably there is also a charge evey time a file is uploaded or downloaded?
5. Having played a bit more, I notice that it's only available on the first post of a thread. Any plans to expand this?

We may be adding more customization options later, but for the moment these are fixed. The size limit is small by design-- it's large enough to attach a small text file or image, but not large enough for posting mp3s, video, warez, etc.

Acutally no-- currently there is no charge for uploading or downloading and it doesn't count as a view... we may have to change change some limits if the system is abused however.

We've updated that, it's available on every post now.
