Problem: System shows that a user is still online when in fact user logged out. 


Q: Are there any particular reasons why this work this way? Is there a way to fix it to show real online status?

I dont mind this... Makes the boards look even more active when it says people are still logged in.

That is not valid grown up argument.


If text says 'online' then it should show correct information. Otherwise it should say: 'online or recently being online'. :)

Users are considered logged in for certain period time after their last access. If they're still showing up as online after they have logged out we will have to put a fix in place.

That's exactly what's happening: User logs out but is still showing as being online for next ~10-15min.

Why cant we get the option as a user to show if we are on or not?


We can be seen or not be seen.It's up to the user...

I'd think that's a pretty extream option. Good Idea for admins though..

Have you tried refreshing your (I assume you use) IE screen - F5


This will access the ACTIVE board website and refresh your details.
