I was implying that only the forum admin/mod. can see it in the Admin. Panel -not in profiles for all users to see. It would make it easier to know if a user's account has been violated by someone else, which has happened twice on my forum.

You can insert the image you want, it doesnt have to be an emoticon.

I didn't see this mentioned:


1.) Language filter on/off


2.) PM other members currently online


I currently don't have a need for the filter to be on, yet I can't turn it off.  Simple words get *************** and noone can read them.


My members ask how they can PM other members currently listed online.  I think this would be a fantastic addition.

I notice that as I type a reply, it dissapears after the page has fully loaded and I have to type it all over again.  The font also changes from Arial to Verdana - very annoying.

1) Make it so that you can move posts into different sub-forums, even if they're in different categories.


2) Make it so that you can arrange your forums instead of it being that everytime you create a new forum it goes straight to the bottom of the list.

I would like to have a column with "Topic Date or Start Date" , the reason; sometimes I'm confused because i don't know when a topic was posted, i will appreciate if you could do something for our community.

I love the new up grades you have made for us.Great Job.


"The show members on line" is great but some would like to have the option of making themselves invisable.Would that able to happen?To where it doesnt all ways show you when you go on line to that site.Could it be an option we could set in the profile area?

Whats IM?


and I think every page should lign up nicely with the control bar. It looks wierd in some parts of the forum with the top Control bar being smaller than the page I just think everything should be the same size. It would look more pro.

I have a question about this new IM.Is it true or false that the Mod's can read all the messages that our sent to members?


Example:


If Mary IM's Joe can the MOD Jack read it?


Thanks I have a few people claiming this can happen.It has happened to them before with other places.

I've just had a play as the Admin logon on my board and I can't see a way for the Admin or Mod to view other people's PMs, so the answer is probably 'No'.  I'm not sure I want to know what people are saying behind my back, anyway!

Well, I didn't see this anywhere, and I don't think anyone requested it so here goes:


- Language selection


I know it depends on user support, getting the forum translated and all, but I had intentions of starting a forum for portuguese users and some don't know english very well, so a language selector would be great.


Also, on the topic of "portuguese translation", for God's sake don't use "brazillian portuguese". It sounds totally wrong for us because the differences are much bigger than those between "american english" and "british english".


For the record, I don't mind doing the translation myself, if necessary.

Well, I just noticed I can't Edit my previous post, so I'll have to add a new one. Edit function sorely needed.


My other suggestion is to make it so that when you reply to a topic (like I just did above), take the user to the message he just posted. As it stands, we're taken to the original post which is specially annoying if it's a topic with multiple pages (you have to click once to get to the last page, and THEN scroll all the way to the newest messages.

There is no way for the administrator or moderators to read private messages. We have had a surprising number of requests to add this ability, but have no plans to do so.

Hi!


This is Ray C., admin of:  Poaf Forum, TDA forum, and Lazywolf's Howl forum.


The directory is a very nice feature you guys came up with. The only thing missing from it is a "search" feature to find forums easier. that would be awesome.


Also, If you have enough server space, could you allow users to upload their own avatars? A maximum size of 10k would be plenty.

I agree a forum search function by title would help users find our activeboards.

I have two suggestions:

1.- It would be easier, especially for not-so experimented users, to have topics sorted by "Last modified" instead of "Start date" by default, so every user automatically sees last updated topics at the top of the page.

2.- In the main page of the forum (where the categories and each of its forums are listed), it would be great to have a link to the last updated topic as well.

All in all, activeboards rocks. I just switched from another board system and have found this one to be much better.
