Would it be possible to have a record of "Sent PM's" ? Sometimes I need to view a PM that I have sent and I'm not finding that option anywhere.


And along with some of the others, an IMG/Pic button would be handy!

i would like to se the abilty for admins/mods to be able to read everyones pm's.  also, a specail kind of forum where if you post in it, and have a certain html code somewhere on your site,  it will appear there, sorta like a shout box, using one of the forums.  also, the abilty to add custom scripts/MOD's.  and the abilty to change people's usernames and post counts.


of these, i belive the shoutbox thing, and the PM read thing are the most important!


 


oh, and the high scores still arent working if you have custom css.

Hmm, giving the admins the capability to change number of posts and read everyones pms are a bit much.
Sometimes it's a good thing for the members to get some privacy.
But if you want it, I would say letting the members know their pm can be read would make it ok.

I don't wanna read what my members are saying about me.   I've never met a forum where PMs can be read by the moderators and I think the possibility that Mods might read PMs would drive people away from the forum.  Big Brother and all that!

Here is my wishlist for activeboard:
 
1) Spell Check - A spell check facility at the bottom of the Post screen would be great as a lot of posts are going out with spelling mistakes in. This can make them difficult to read and understand.
 
2) Fonts/Colours - Could we make it possible for individuals to choose and save their own font for posting. Also could we have a colour font button.

I wote no to both except possiblity for ADMIN to have different colour than the users. If my forum where to allow different colour, it would look like a freakin' cartoon-show...


And spell-check - if your members can't spell right then - no comment....

definitly spell check, I'm terrible at spelling.


Also when your on the forum other then the mainpage, and you log in, it sends my members to a seemingly random page of the forum it would be great if when they signed in, they stayed on the page they were on.

How about being able to go "Next Page" or "Previous Page" rather than having to use the drop-down menu.


And maybe to be able to list/organize threads in different ways, like by number of posts or by author.

i would like the differnt colors for admins.mods at the botton, also, the search feature doesnt work right, even if you select for normal/nonapproved members to be hidden from secrete forums, they can still see the titles in the search results...  also, custom games in the arcade would be nice!

i think there should be an optional money system where you post and you get like 5 credits, and admins can change peoples money and stuff - this way people can make a shop-like thing

This is something I have asked for over a period of time now (well the font colour in posts). Ability to have different font-colour for admin (and mods - good suggestion). Like yr suggestion of different colour also in the Forum Stats.


Hope they can fix this. NB: Only for Admin/mods. I would NOT open up for different colour for regular users - that would make my forum a disaster.

Hi everyone! Greetings from Finland!


I have to say I totally agree with the guy asking for a language selection (well, not only Portuguese, please...). How 'bout a possibility to change all the texts on the links/buttons/headers/etc.. to the language you want? I mean it would be less work for you (you'd not need to learn to speak 1000 new languages) if you'd let the customers to translate for themselves? I see this on some boards but don't like many of the other features they have. Though people in Finland usually speak English OK, some of them (at least some that would come to my forum anyway) don't necessarily know the web-terms... I just hope I could make it easier for them.


Does this sound impossible to you...?

i would like to be able to delete messages completly rather them going to the Deleted Messages section.


For example in the Deleted Messages section of the control pannel you have the option to Un-delete a message. There should also be the option to completly remove a message.

I say you guys make it easier to post images...b/c I'm not the greatest with PC's and the forum I use, could use easier image posting in certain situations, don't ya think? like being able to browse for them on your PC instead of having to get the from a web-site, thanks

This Idea could take time...but it would be very cool if each new member, had their very on 'E-Mail', I know that this Idea may never become reality, but it is great that the WebMaster actually seems to care about the user's opinions and I value that very much...but, about my idea, It would be cool if everyone who signed up for your forums had their own e-mail address for activeboard, such as MyName@ActiveBoard.com, and you could e-mail each other within it...I know it may sound quite close, and almost Identical to the PM service that you provide, but I think it would increase popularity, and users would talk even more, besides what they already do in the forums, and whatever their username's are then that would be their e-mail address would be, and they would have a small inbox, 5mb's maybe? or whatever you would like, and the gold users could have an increased inbox, to increase the number of Paying users. I know this may never become a reality, but I am sure that you would at least attempt to look into this proposed idea, and I am glad to try to help, and I am very thankful that you guys will listen, Later

What I would like to see, when replying to a topic, to have the last few previous posts under the reply box rather then than the first few in the thread. Having the most recent posts would make it easier to reply rather than listing the first posts.

Moderating your own topic (thread)


I would like to see a feature where the person who opens a new topic (thread) would be able to moderate that topic. By moderate I mean being able to edit and/or delete posts on the topic.

Backup option


I would like to be able to backup discussion threads to my local hard drive. Would it be possible to implement something like that?
For example, to go to Administrator's settings and select an option to backup whole Forum to a local disk. (?)


Reason: I have a fear that I might loose all discussion threads one day when ActiveBoards cease to exist. It would be nice to be able to backup discussion threads localy.
